Unix Support Technician
The technician will support projects using the National Energy Modeling
System (NEMS). The technician should have strong Unix skills,
preferably with some knowledge of Fortran. Fortran is not essential.
Technician will manage the system, update new codes, and debug some
operating errors. The position is temporary, less than 20 hours per
week, and is not an assistantship.
Pay rate: $17-$27/hr DOE

Web Design/Web Application Assistant
Working under the supervision of the Sr. Systems Analyst, will produce enhancements to the Office of Institutional Research and Planning web page and create new applications as needed. The ability to manipulate HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, and CSS is required. Applicants must be knowledgeable in at least one of the following web application languages: PHP, ColdFusion, ASP/.Net or have some familiarity with web frameworks. Good communication and documentation skills are required. Java, Drupal, Perl, or Flash/FLEX knowledge is a plus. Oracle/MySQL or other relational SQL language knowledge is also a plus. 10-15 hours per week.
Pay rate: Starting pay rate is $8 - $10 per hour depending on experience.

The Packaging Research Center within ECE is looking for a top-notch
assistant to maintain our PRC website. Essential skills include:
style sheets, formatting, linking files, tables, and forms.

The Packaging Research Center, within ECE is looking for 2 lab
assistants to work 15 hours a week in our labs. He/she will be working
on the high density substrate process development and embedded
component integration. The processes include lithography, surface
treatment, resist stripping, etching and electrolytic copper plating
and fine line patterning.
Essential requirements include:
ability and willingness to follow strict safety rules, dependability,
common sense, and aptitude to think on your feet. An interest in ECE,
ME or MSE is helpful – safety and dependability is an absolute must.
