Job Description

​The New Employee Experience (NEE) Assistant will coordinate, schedule, and manage all logistics associated with the New Employee Experience which includes four sessions: (1) Welcome to Tech, (2) Leaders Panel, (3) PARTNER Method, and (4) Seizing Your Career. This incubent will serve as the point of contact for: scheduling, participant questions, and other communication assistance needed to ensure the successful execution of the entire New Employee Experience. The NEE Assistant will deliver service excellence to NEE participants, Workplace Learning & Professional Development, and the Georgia Tech community at large. 

* Foster relationships with New Employee Experience campus partners 

 * Inform and communicate session logistics to registered participants and their managers to ensure attendance 

* Creatively select catered meals to enhance Welcome to Tech and Leaders Panel experience

* Problem solve logistic challenges (when they arise) and proactively brainstorm strategies to streamline NEE processes 

* Possess ease in providing direct communication and feedback


* Enjoy working with a diverse group of individuals at varies levels of the Institute 


* Exhibit comfort in unforeseen situations and the ability to think quick and find solutions

* Organization and time management skills are critical  

* Create productive working relationships   

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to provide professional written communication

Job Description

This position will be testing and troubleshooting software, files, and applications used in Project 31, a research initiative of the Center for Accessible Materials Innovation, a federally funded grant operated by AMAC Accessibility at Georgia Tech. Assignments will be both scheduled, as in testing software updates before they are provided to users, and on demand, as in troubleshooting issues identified by users. The work schedule and assignments will be managed by the CAMI Technical Support Manager.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
*Knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems and software installation procedures.
*Knowledge of file formats including PDF, HTML, Microsoft Word, EPUB, and DAISY.
*Knowledge of software testing and troubleshooting practices.
*Completion with passing grade of CITI Human Subjects Basic Course (see http://www.researchintegrity.gatech.edu/about-irb/irb-required-training )
*Detail oriented, good problem solving skills, highly organized.
*Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
*Knowledge of Mac iOS and/or Android mobile operating systems.

Job Description

The Annual Roll Call Phonathon program is seeking to hire a group of responsible and enthusiastic students to serve as Student Callers. Each year our objective is to build and strengthen the relationship between the institution and the multitude of alumni, parents, and donors that we contact. Our student callers solicit contributions while updating demographic information and discussing the importance of supporting GA Tech financially in addition to sharing the latest school related news and events.

This position requires excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mentality, the ability to think on your feet, and a genuine affinity for GA Tech. We need students who are passionate about Tech and are willing and able to create rapport in order to solicit and negotiate much needed support of the GA Tech Annual Roll Call Fund. Working on the Phonathon team is a great opportunity to improve your communication, fundraising, and public relations skills for life after Tech.

Phonathon operates Sunday - Thursday from 6pm-9pm. Closed Fridays and Saturdays.

Flexible Scheduling:
Students are only required to work two shifts(days) per week. You can request additional days (pending availability) but must work a minimum of two. The days you request can be different each week. Schedules are submitted prior to the start of each month.

Raises are assessed each semester for returning callers based on performance and attendance. Snacks will be provided on occasion, as well as various incentives and bonuses for achievement of individual and group goals.

Expectations:
•       Establish an open and engaging line of communication creating a positive impression of GA Tech.
•       Uphold Phonathon employment and confidentiality agreements.
•       Display comfort in soliciting gifts from alumni and donors.
•       Make a clear, strong case for financial support during every call in an effort to increase both giving and participation. Be pleasant yet persistent in securing pledges and negotiating gift amounts.
•       Always remain positive and professional. Handle objections and difficult conversations tactfully with courtesy and sensitivity.
•       Commit to a minimum of 6 hours or 9 hours (2-3 shifts) per week.
•       Develop techniques to help deal with objections and improve the structure and style of your calls.
•       Think quickly in responding to any questions and/or concerns our alumni and donors may have.
•       Arrive to work on time and with a positive attitude.
•       Manage school work load and job hours.
•       Speak clear and fluent English.

- Have a faculty reference

In addition, 1-to-1 Tutors must be available to tutor at least seven hours per week, and eligible to support a minimum of five courses.
