About Us

Students enjoying an SCPC event

The Student Center Programs Council includes nine committees and three officerdedicated to shaping campus life. All events are envisioned, planned, organized, and executed by students in collaboration with other campus organizations and both internal and external sponsors. Each committee and officer works with a professional staff advisor that supports them in their endeavors.

Arts & Culture

Arts & C​ulture sponsors events that focus on engaging and relevant speakers, artistic expression, ​student talent, and cultural enrichment to bring the arts to​ the student body. Recent events include: Hearts and Crafts, Take-a-Professor Luncheon, and Art After Dark.​

Life hosts events at off-campus venues throughout the city of Atlanta and beyond! Transportation is provided. Recent events: Georgia Tech Night at Six Flags, Georgia Tech Night at the Aquarium, and Georgia Tech Night at the Fox Theater.

Comedy & Entertainment

Comedy & Entertainment brings comedians and various novelty acts to campus. Recent events include: Kumail Nanjiani, Murder Mystery Party, and Joystick Jamboree.

Educating The Community (ETC)

Educating the Community selects, organizes, and coordinates non-credit leisure classes or speakers for student, faculty, staff, alumni and Atlanta community members ranging in topics, including Arts & Crafts, Dance, Language, Recreation, Music and Miscellaneous​.

Flyer for Sting Break

Festivals plans a campus-wide student appreciation festival each semester. Festivals in the past have included free giveaways and food, music, inflatables, novelties, and carnival rides. Recent events include: Halloween Festival and Sting Break.

Homecoming works in collaboration with multiple organizations in order to plan a weeklong celebration of Tech spirit leading up to the homecoming football game. 


Flyer for screening of Moana

Movies shows films outdoors on a large inflatable screen, subsidized tickets to opening night releases at Atlantic Station, and discounted tickets to movies in the Student Center Theater. Movies Committee is sometimes able to bring famous actors to campus and offer students the opportunity to see free sneak previews of their movies. Recent events include: Flicks @ Tech, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (with a meet and greet with the Lonely Island), Moana, and Captain America: Civil War.

Ramblin' Nights

Flyer for Midnight Breakfast

Ramblin’ Nights plans entertaining late night events, often in collaboration with other committees and organizations. Recent events include: Midnight Breakfast, SuperBOWL party in Tech Rec, and the Halloween Haunted Maze!
