Special occasion items like birthday and holiday cards are prime targets for theft. To minimize the threat of your letters and cards being targeted for theft, please follow one simple United States Postal Services guideline: don’t send cash through the mail!

To ensure the cards and letters you send via United States Postal Services (USPS) reach the Student Center Post Office for delivery to your loved one, please consider following these basic guidelines:

  • Do not send cash in the mail
  • Verify that the mailing address is correct (including a valid zip code)
  • Verify that the student’s mailbox number is correct
  • Use a trackable method of mailing – delivery confirmation or priority mailing are best
Thank you for your cooperation!

Sending mail to your student?

Whether it's care packages, birthday cards, or anything in between, students love receiving mail from you! To help ensure that the mail you send gets to your student, you'll need to follow a few guidelines:

3##### (Mailbox Number) Ga Tech Stn
Atlanta, GA 30332
  • Be sure to always use the students full name, as nicknames can cause problems making sure that the mail you send gets to your student.
  • Mail for incoming students who have not yet been assigned a mailbox should be addressed with the phrase "Incoming New Student" in place of a mailbox number.
  • Your student is responsible for letting you know their mailbox number.

3##### (Mailbox Number) Ga Tech Stn
Atlanta, GA 30332
  • When sending packages, tracking will indicate when packages arrive at the Georgia Tech Post office, but it doesn't mean your student has received it.

Please pay special attention to these details, as incorrectly addressed items may not get to your student!
