Key Responsibilities
Accessibility and Content Remediation
• Assist with improving the accessibility of digital course materials by adding alternative text to images and graphics, captioning and transcribing video and audio content, ensuring proper heading structures and descriptive link text, and converting files into more accessible formats such as tagged PDFs and Word documents.
Multimedia Content Production & Editing
• Contribute to the production of high-quality educational media by supporting recording sessions, post-production editing, and content delivery for online courses.
•Execute production and editing tasks with attention to detail, ensuring consistency in video, audio, and visual standards while following established workflows.
•Maintain organized media assets and collaborate with the production team to support efficient workflows and timely project completion.

Course and Platform Support

Collaboration and Quality Assurance

Documentation and Media Management
• Maintain organized multimedia assets, track materials through editing and production stages, and help preserve clear documentation, guides, and checklists related to digital accessibility and online course support.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be current third-year or above undergraduate students, master’s students, or doctoral students with relevant skills and competencies in communications, multimedia content creation, and graphic design. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity or proficiency in the following areas: Canvas; Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint; Google applications; Zoom; Microsoft Teams; multimedia and video editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and After Effects; video and audio production techniques and equipment; accessibility practices such as captioning, transcription, and accessible document and media creation; and awareness of assistive technologies such as screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

CREATE-X Marketing Student Assistant

Strategic Energy Institute Summer Intern/GT Student Assistant
R&D in preparation for Energy Unplugged STEM program (May and first half of June)
o Design, construct and validate small scale data acquisition systems (e.g., RC car, steam engine) to store and display energy data in real time.
o Construct a data acquisition system for micro grid consisting of a single (300W) PV panel, charge controller, power electronics and battery. This would be housed outside the Carbon Neutral Energy Solutions (CNES) lab, and used during the STEM activities.
o Other prep for summer camp as needed around hands-on projects, prototypes, experimental lesson plans (in physics, conservation of energy, basic electronics).
CNES living lab test beds (remainder of summer: late June and July)
o Control and analysis of on-site energy storage (lead acid battery energy storage system, or BESS) at CNES. This project would involve running daily and weekly experimental charge/discharge schedules and explore use cases (e.g., simulate peak shifting, arbitrage, carbon minimization, solar self consumption, etc.)
o EV charging: Data acquisition on the CNES Level 2 EVSE under the solar parking canopy. Coordinate with vehicle owners on usage profiles, SOC/SOH/commute info, etc.
o Other integrated analysis, data analytics, modeling, engineering related to combinations of locally generated solar energy, locally sited energy storage, local consumption of locally generated/stored energy.
Hours/Schedule: This would be a full-time role for summer (min 8 weeks, up to 10 or 12).
In terms of schedule, the timing for working at the Carbon Neutral Energy Solutions Lab (CNES) in summer is flexible. The dates of the camp will be June 9-13.

We are looking to fill six student worker positions to help us make accessible textbooks and course material for individuals with print-related disabilities. Student workers will need to have solid computer and writing skills, and will learn advanced production techniques to create accessible file formats for a production unit under CIDI, the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation, which is a USG/BOR statewide disability service and research center at Georgia Tech. Situation: Deposits from first-year admits are down, and the Office of Undergraduate Admission received feedback that admitted students are hesitant to deposit because they are worried about going to an urban campus in a big city. We have been asked to leverage social media to showcase campus beauty; help students see why our campus is a good fit for them; and to encourage more deposits.

Review and respond to the prompt below: This hypothetical scenario is vague on purpose to allow for creativity. Do not worry about accuracy; we are just hoping to get an idea of your creative perspective and social media literacy.
Situation: Deposits from first-year admits are down, and the Office of Undergraduate Admission received feedback that admitted students are hesitant to deposit because they are worried about going to an urban campus in a big city. We have been asked to leverage social media to showcase campus beauty; help students see why our campus is a good fit for them; and to encourage more deposits.
Task: Brainstorm one idea we could implement on social media to accomplish this goal. Your submission should include a paragraph description of your idea and reasoning as well as one sample post with a visual element (graphic, photo, reel, etc.) and a caption. This can be submitted as a pdf. or word document. If submitting a video, please upload unlisted to YouTube and add the link to your document.

If you wish, you may also include a portfolio of any additional social media, video, writing, or graphic samples you would like to share. This is optional.
Note: While the end date is listed as the end of the 26-27 academic year, this is expected to be a continuous position with opportunity for work on a semesterly basis.

BridgeUP STEM Student Assistant
Pay Rate: $15/ hour
Hours: 8 am – 4 pm
Summer 2026 BridgeUP STEM class schedule
o Monday- Friday (June 1st- 26th)
o Class is held from 9 am-3 pm
o The chaperone will need to drive to the bus pickup location and return with scholars after class. The current pickup locations are (North Atlanta High School & Mays High School).
Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Schedule
o Tuesday evenings from 3 pm-7 pm
o Schedule pending
Responsibilities
o Candidate MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION to serve as a bus chaperone from 8am- 4pm on the dates provided
o Provide supervision, encouragement, and guidance to participants.
o Assist with program setup, cleanup, and material organization.
o Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
Minimum Qualifications
o Current Georgia Tech student in good academic standing.
o Strong communication skills and desire to work with K–12 students.
o Reliability and punctuality for scheduled sessions.
o Must have reliable transportation to serve as a bus chaperone from 8 am-4 pm on the dates provided
o Must successfully clear a background check and complete all required Youth Programs training prior to beginning the role
Preferred Qualifications
o Experience working with youth in educational or mentoring settings.
