• Administrative tasks in Institute Policy management, including policy template support, website review, document proofing, presentation support, benchmarking policies,
• Administrative tasks in Youth Programs compliance including website review (looking for youth programs), excel support, and proofing communications for student organizations.
• Ethics programming support including sorting and organizing and supporting inventory of the items for New Employee Orientation, Ethics Week, and other programs as needed.
• Campus errands to support picking up supplies, distributing signage, supporting table setup for various programs.

Research Tools Ambassador
Position Type: Part-time (5–8 hours/week)
Duration: 6-month term
Compensation: $15/hour
Location: Georgia Institute of Technology (Campus-based)
Program Overview
Georgia Tech is launching a Research Tools (RT) Ambassador Program to strengthen the identification, cataloging, and promotion of research tools developed across campus. Research tools include reagents, prototypes, models, software, datasets, and other non-traditional research outputs with translational or commercial potential.
This program engages graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and research associates to help discover underrecognized research tools, support disclosure efforts, and increase awareness and utilization of these assets—while providing ambassadors with valuable professional development in technology transfer and commercialization.
Program Goals
• Systematically identify and capture disclosures of research tools across Georgia Tech research groups
• Increase awareness, visibility, and utilization of underrecognized research tools
• Support faculty and research teams in the dissemination and commercialization of research tools
• Provide ambassadors with training, recognition, and career development opportunities in technology transfer
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Graduate student, postdoctoral fellow, or research associate, employed full-time at Georgia Tech
• Approval from their Principal Investigator (PI) to participate
Roles & Responsibilities
Research Tools Ambassadors will:
• Conduct outreach and discovery by meeting with PIs, attending seminars, and monitoring lab outputs (e.g., publications, presentations, reports) to identify potential research tools
• Collect and catalog basic information on identified research tools (e.g., tool type, ownership, funding/sponsor details)
• Collaborate with the Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) Research Tools team to triage tools prior to formal disclosure
• Commit approximately 5–8 hours per week during the 6-month appointment
