Job Summary: The College of Lifetime Learning is seeking a graduate/student assistant to support online course design and development in collaboration with instructional designers, instructional technologists, and interactive media producers. This role will assist with accessibility updates, multimedia editing, course material preparation, platform support, and quality review for online learning materials.

Key Responsibilities
Accessibility and Content Remediation
• Assist with improving the accessibility of digital course materials by adding alternative text to images and graphics, captioning and transcribing video and audio content, ensuring proper heading structures and descriptive link text, and converting files into more accessible formats such as tagged PDFs and Word documents.
Multimedia Content Production & Editing
• Contribute to the production of high-quality educational media by supporting recording sessions, post-production editing, and content delivery for online courses.
•Execute production and editing tasks with attention to detail, ensuring consistency in video, audio, and visual standards while following established workflows.
•Maintain organized media assets and collaborate with the production team to support efficient workflows and timely project completion.

Course and Platform Support
• Provide support within Canvas and related tools such as Kaltura, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365. Collaboration and Quality Assurance

Documentation and Media Management

Required Qualifications
Applicants must be current third-year or above undergraduate students, master’s students, or doctoral students with relevant skills and competencies in communications, multimedia content creation, and graphic design. Students may support large-scale initiatives such as upgrading credential readers to enable technologies like mobile credentials and verifying that ADA and accessibility equipment is properly implemented and functioning across campus.

Job Description:
GT Promoting Relationships, Identity, and Mentoring through Engineering (GT PRIME) is seeking a student coordinator for its summer outreach program. GT PRIME is an outreach program that includes both middle school youth and K-12 school counselors in a program that improves the engineering identity development of both populations with a robotics-focused summer curriculum. GT PRIME is unique in that it centers relationship building in a family environment. This centers the human-centric aspects of engineering design so both youth and school counselors learn a complete picture of both the technical and interpersonal aspects of engineering. The program coordinator must be a leader that will supervise two student assistant coordinators over the summer. Both the coordinator and assistant coordinators work as a team to lead the technical aspects of the curriculum. In addition, this team also works directly with the youth to help in the building of strong relationships. The coordinator will work for two weeks with faculty to develop a plan for implementation. They will then train assistant coordinators for 1 week. After the training of the assistant coordinators is complete, the program will welcome youth to the campus for the 3-week outreach portion of the program. This outreach portion is then followed by a debrief period where the coordinator will help school counselors translate their experience for broader impact at their local institutions.

The Georgia Tech Alumni Association Strategic Communications department is seeking a student worker to assist with the Alumni Magazine. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring journalist or storyteller to work on a 100-page quarterly magazine that serves more than 180k alumni. In this role, the student worker would assist the editor in collecting information for the Ramblin’ Roll (class notes) and In Memoriam sections of the magazine—some of the most well-read sections of the publication—as well as research and fact-checking. IPaT Student Assistant

Job Description:
The Institute for People and Technology (IPaT) student assistant program offers hands-on experience supporting cutting-edge research, labs, and events at the intersection of people and technologies. Working across TSRB, Coda, and the Aware Home, student assistants keep IPaT’s operations running smoothly – solving IT problems, maintaining labs, and organizing signature events that showcase emerging innovation. There are two tracks for student assistants: 1) research operations assistant and 2) lab assistants. Student assistants on either track may cross-train depending on scheduling and capacity. Students hired for summer 2026 may have the option to continue working during the 2026-2027 academic year depending upon the needs of the department.

The Research Operations Assistant track focuses on technical troubleshooting, AV setup, and IT coordination and is ideal for students interested in IT, systems support, or digital infrastructure. IPaT research operations assistants may be trained to support additional interdisciplinary research institutes across the Georgia Tech research enterprise.
Responsibilities include:
- Triage IT issues among faculty, staff, and users
- Setup, maintain, and manage audio-visual equipment for events and lab spaces
- Maintain loaner computer equipment
- Aid staff with computer software and hardware
- Maintain documentation of equipment status and repairs
- Space and operational needs as listed below

The Lab Assistant track supports inventory, equipment maintenance and fabrication assistance and is ideal for students interested in prototyping, engineering, or human-centered design.
Responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment (could include minor repairs or adjustments)
- Maintain inventory of lending library items, Prototyping Lab and/or Craft Lab
- Building, debugging, and maintaining demonstrations

Both Research Operations and Lab Assistants will aid in space and operations management and event management. Space and operations management responsibilities include assisting with the daily organization of IPaT spaces including checking mail, cleaning kitchen space, etc., working on various office projects assigned by IPaT staff, running errands/deliveries around campus, managing IPaT reservable spaces including conference rooms and collaboration spaces. GT Promoting Relationships, Identity, and Mentoring through Engineering is seeking assistant coordinators for an outreach program with middle school youth and school counselors from the Atlanta community. Assistant coordinators will lead the technical implementation of lessons for the summer. The position is supervised by a student coordinator.
