Notary Services

The Georgia Tech Student and Campus Event Centers Administrative Office offers limited notary services to Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff. You must present a valid BuzzCard to obtain service. 

Appointments are available Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Student Center Administrative Office located on the third floor of John Lewis Student Center. We typically suspend notary services during campus breaks and holidays, and when the administrative office must be closed (such as for staff training or inclement weather). We will notify you if your appointment needs to be rescheduled due to office closure.

Student and Campus Event Centers staff reserve the right to refuse documents that do not align with our departmental guidelines, which you can find below. However, we make every effort to reach out to customers to review the document prior to their appointment.

Documents We Notarize

  • Jury duty deferrals
  • Copies of IDs and passports
    • Request must be accompanied by official form explaining reason for notarization
  • Rental Lease documents
    • All parties must be present and have valid BuzzCard
  • Documents for work or school, including
    • Study abroad forms
    • Immunization exemptions
    • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) forms

Documents We DO NOT Notarize

  • Immigration or citizenship documents
    • Includes F-1, I-20, I-9 documents
  • Georgia Tech human resources documents
  • Bank statements
  • Probate documents
    • Includes marriage, divorce, birth, or death certificates
    • Name changes
    • Property deeds;
    • Trusts;  
    • Power of attorney documents;
    • Last will and testaments
  • Political documents
    • Includes absentee ballots or address change forms
  • Documents regarding criminal records or court filings
